I am absolutely certain it is a scam, and that many people have been taken by this farce of detector company. They stopped manufacturing the Lectra years ago, his ad states (Perpetrator of this scam must be in prison or dead).
What I posted was from an ad on Craigs List trying to sell one for $65 dollars, claims they sell on Ebay for $500, it comes with 3 Gold and 3 Silver antenna. He also says his dad gave $998 for it in 1998 and $1100 more for the 6 antenna. The ad does not mention how much gold and silver were found using it, we know there was none. Unless he found some looking on the ground and had the device in his hand at the time.
I believe it was P.T. Barnum, who was asked in an interview if he felt bad about all the people he had scammed in his life, his reply " If God hadn't meant for them to be sheared he wouldn't have made them sheep"
these locators are a real scam that the well known distributor from florida was well aware of but sold them anyway. they had a money back guarantee minus a 20% restocking fee.
so even if the locator was returned the company made 20% and still got the device to sell to some other unsuspecting customer. for these reasons I will never purchase anything
from this company again.
