Any of you have any sources/resources for a CZ rain cover?

Yeah, I know mine is been caught out in more than one down pour and just keep beepin!
Man, I love that machine, they dont make um like that anymore!:yo:

Try bowens hideout. They make the covers in spokane Wa. Mine cost me 20.00 bucks. Google search bowens hideout!!

I have gone to Wal-Mart and bought women's shower caps. They have an built in elastic band that holds the cap in place. The plastic is soft and you can get to the controls, if needed. And there are several sizes in the bag. If caught in the rain, you can even pull one over your headphones, and still detect. Might not look so cool, but you are protected. I think there are about 10 caps in a bag for around a dollar. So they are throw away.

who made custom rain & dust covers for virtually any detector. He had pictures posted. However, can't locate him anymore. Wonder if he is still out there? At one time you could purchase CZ covers from Kellyco but that was a long time ago.

I am currently in the process of developing a rain cover for the CZ 3D and a few other machines. They will be of very good quality and very well made.
As far as I know, all the other CZ's were rain proof. Not exactly sure why you would need one unless your talking about the 3D

Hi Aaron. I chest mount my CZ-7a Pro / 70 and hunt in the dry and wet sand / shallow surf with a FZ-12 coil. Sometimes I get a good salt water splash. I have to tape the plug and protect the unit. I don't remember how the CZ-3D looks without looking it up right now, but your cover may work (?). Do you have a price and pics of it? Thanks.

Hi Vernt,

We are still in the proto-typing stage right now and reviewing several materials for the cover. I am working on a design that can also be used both for hip and chest mount applications. I am also designing a rain jacket for the Fisher 1200 series. Expected release this spring. I will post some pics in a couple weeks. For all those interested, pm me and I will let you know as soon as the product is ready for release.
Thanks, Aaron
