WOULD LIKE YOUR GENERAL REVIEWS ON THIS UNIT, KELLYCO SAIDS IT CAN DETECT A QUARTER AT 32 INCHES, IS IT REALLY A GOOD MACHINE IN HIGHLY MINERALIZE GROUND, AND HOW WELL IS IT AT FINDING CIVIL WAR CAMP RELICS, EVEN THOUGH IT SAID IT IS ESPECIALLY FOR NUGGETS, COIN, JEWERLY AND SMALL STUFF. THANK YOU

In general Nokta is seen as pretty much a scam. I've never heard about a serious detectorist using Nokta.
...

Everyone needs a paycheck and there will always be a better mousetrap being made somewhere on this planet...You old folks, remember Mr. Haney on Green Acres, his favorite come along would always be, everything is [Genuine].

I'm still waiting to see some independent user reviews of ANY of the Nokta machines including how well they hold up in the field.

There is atleast one independent tester review made in Finland and it says, that the Nokta golden sense is very deep seeking machine and it is very sensitive towards small objects, but it only have ferrous and non-ferrous identify ability, it dont have a normal discrimination. The machine have different sound for non-ferrous and ferrous metal. The user said this machine is more geared towards Relic hunters that dig anything non-ferrous, mayde for gold hunters, professionals and Argeologists.

This detector located a 0.5 (1/2) gram piece of gold at 9-10 inches yesterday (no tape measure on us). The ground isn't that mineralized, just a tad, but still......that's pretty good! Let's see the other detectors do that. No video, just a couple guys out looking for gold. My buddy was using the golden sense, I have a Gold Bug 2 and I don't think my GB2 would have picked it up that deep. I'm impressed. By the way, his Garrett Infinium didn't hit on it either. That Golden Sense is no joke.

Heh...you gotta remember this is the same company that sell's a " gold finding pendulum " so not wanting to get kicked off I'll just leave it at that.....

Okay...here goes. I got to use a NOKTA Golden Sense in Spain this past August. Went there to see family and do some detecting. I have a Troy Shadow X-5 pre-positioned over there so I don't have to transport it back and forth. My Nephew had purchased a Golden Sense to use with his business and for detecting ancient coins and relics on the weekends. When we got to our usual spot on some high ground along the Ebro river we discovered that my Shadow X-5 was (Tango Uniform) and that our entire site had been dug up and hauled off for fill on a road building project. We returned to Zaragoza that evening after an uneventful day. My Nephew knowing I really wanted to do some detecting allowed me to use his Golden Sense and Monday morning bright and early I rocketed my rental car towards Madrid and then southward toward Ocana, my favorite place to detect in all of Spain. The user manual was in English and Spanish and after a quick read I was ready to begin. The thing sets up easy enough and is a breeze to balance to the area where I was hunting. After turning the detector on and waiting the few seconds it takes to come on line I started swinging the detector back and forth to check for erratic or false signals. Got some right away and slowly began turning the sensitivity down until it smoothed out. Knowing the area was polluted with iron from over 2000 years of history I selected the "iron off" mode and began searching. Not a few steps from the spot I got my first signal which turned out to be a really deep musket ball from a battle between the Spaniards and Napoleon's forces. These are common here and mixed after years of plowing the fields with bronze age, Celtic-Iberian, Roman and Medieval coins and relics. All in all that day I recovered quite a few musket balls along with some really neat coins and relics. I spent the night there in my sleeping bag and hit the floor running again the next day with pretty much the same results. I had to leave three of the targets located because they were just too deep to get down to and that with a really heavy duty digging tool. The Golden Sense runs deep and smooth on relics. I'll try to post the pictures of my finds as soon as I can figure out how to do that.

Now back to the good ole USA, Florida Panhandle. So impressed with the NOKTA Golden Sense I looked the company up on Google to try and purchase one of their machines and was directed to Kellyco. Ordered it and put it to work on some of my coin and relic sites here. This evening I went to an old area of town that has been beat with every detector in Panama City and in about 30 minutes recovered a small piece of silver from a bracelet, a small slug of copper, two pieces of an old rosary and my first gold with the NOKTA Golden Sense, a gold tooth cap at about 8 inches. This is a powerful no frills, no bells and barely any whistles type detector that really goes deep and lets you know by tone and by LED whether the target is ferrous or non-ferrous. Nothing more, nothing less but a powerful tool for relic hunting and if it is half as good on placer gold as they claim, I will know that in a couple of months good Lord willing.

I have fallen for a few of these foreign made detectors in the past and after having weighed them in the balances, found them lacking, the most recent boondoggle being a DEEPERS MF-2008-B that turned out to be a disappointment at the highest level.

If anyone wants an honest discussion about this machine or has any questions, I'll gladly spend some time on the phone if you'll PM me.

Pulled a gold dental cap today at around 8 inches. Signal was loud and clear. I like this thing. No bells, no baubles, no screen or needles bouncing around............just raw power..........ferrous...blue light and low tone...........non ferrous..........red light and high tone. Can't wait to get this thing out west for some electronic prospecting.

Say hitting a gold crown at 8" is proof that this detector is good , that is one of the hardest gold targets to hit I have several gold crowns and they are very hard for most detectors to get sounds like a good detector to me

That is the first one I've ever hit with a detector. Went back this evening for another round of testing and found a mix of copper junk at some good depths and an old 45/70 sized cartridge. Have found some percussion caps and a Civil War badge in that area before as well.
