El

Was wondering if anyone has heard anything as to it's release and what might be in store as far as the detector goes.

Thanks,

El

He's been talkin bout it for, long time-(years)- BUT no word from nobody, hate that, he's a decent guy, and I thought his detectors were GREAT, he might'a just folded his tent and sed the heck with it= guys like him didn' get no stimulus money, the ones that actually needed it= I better shut up, crummy politicians and the give aways get me all fired up:veryangry:

The last time I talked to Troy (I guess it was around last fall) he said he was "still working on it".---He indicated that it wouldn't have the weather proofing seals (like the X-5) as that cost $100 per detector & he wanted to hold the cost down.---Also, there was some speculation on the forum that it was a "joint venture" with Tesoro.---When I asked him about that, he said "I can lay that to rest right now, it's not".----Troy is such a perfectionist, when (if) he brings a new detector to market, you can be sure it will be a good one.----Only thing is, he's just like me--getting on in years.---Don't know if I will live long enough to see it!---------Del

i talked to troy back in the 90's and he was pretty hot on the x3,and x5!
they was built by fisher (los banos) and was strong detectors..guess he didn't survive!
he had problems with the giffords, and then went to fisher!..guess he had problems there too!
personally i believe he just ran out of money..ya gotta pay people to keep goin'..both of the detectors pretty well flopped!
expensive hardware, and had no visual!..way overpriced for the market at that time!
