Any news on a CTX6060 release

It is now six year that we have the ctx3030
I think we may expect soon a new top model
The flagship

That should be rather easy to do, just upgrade the existing machine by providing some software updates (many have been requested/suggested) as was promised when the machine was released. :pinnochio

It's all in fun.

Updates or not, they ctx Is still a great machine. Now if they could just knock a couple of pounds off it......

I agree Mr. W....it’s still the flagship and will be a real hard to try to top anytime soon. When I’m digging nails and ALL kinds of metallic trash out of MOST of my holes which also contain coins(and the machine indicated that there was a coin in there to begin with) it’s a “magic wand” in every sense of the term. It’ll be one of those machines that’s talked about until the end of time, and likely will still be being used at that time as well. I’m gonna go use mine right now before work...

I asked them flat out and they told me None at this time :(
I was hoping for a lighter machine with no GPS option.

The GPS is a very small module on the circuit board and it only weighs a few grams at best.

If they would come up with kit to lighten up the machine they would sell a ton of them, in fact that could be a whole new revenue stream for this model, but like everything else with these folks they don't accept criticism very well and admitting that this machine is too heavy will just never happen.

It is indeed a great machine and keeps suprising me on how well it performs.
CTX and the NOX, awsome combo.....

I think there working on it right now all those testers out there with there nox .They well refine it with all the tester input good or bad and add new programs and functions since they have all these testers running them for countless hours at no cost i think things well move right along . I am thinking 2 years we shall see ? sube

Long time Ex2 user here just getting back into the hobby and considering an upgrade to the CTX or Nox. Have they provided a software update yet since the CTX was released?

Put the etrac or ctx in a nox type package with a nice color v3 type screen and I would be one of the first on the pre-order lists!

There wont be a new version of the CTX. Minelab has said they have gone as far as they cane with FBS technology. In my opinion, we may get an Equinox with some CTX features on a future detector but it wont be a CTX.

Not to knock or rip on anybody but while the CTX is indeed a great machine, there are so many things that can be improved. I dont understand how or why some people arent looking for better performance out of a machine brought to market 6 years ago.
For one!!!!! How about no more falsing on deep iron nails. How about some kind of advanced circuitry that recognizes the difference between a screw cap and a silver dime. And for a much simpler improvement that I'm sure Minelab could give us with the "NEVER happening" firmware updates we were promised....the ability to adjust volume within the individual bins like on the equinox. The list goes on and on.
However, with that said I still believe its the best detector on the market. Yet I eagerly wait for its improved replacement .
