Any news of a new top of the line Garrett?

Even though I like my new Explorer SE, I still love my Garrett GTA-X 1250. I got some extra cash and I am putting it away for a second top of the line machine. I really want to get a Garrett, But I don't want to spend the $$ on a GTI 2500, If something new is brewing in Garland Texas. I would love to see a new Master Hunter, Anyone hear anything?
Thanks in advance
Jason

I haven't heard a peep although I'm sure they're cooking something up. Garrett is extremely secretive and no one knows until it hits the scene. I'm usually one of the first to know but can't say anything until Garrett wants the news out.

...the modification mentioned here is a "chip change" that Garrett began putting into the production line as a result of feedback from Oz.

It is intended to give better, smoother ground tracking in heavily mineralized conditions. YOU can have your current 1350 and GTI's retrofitted by Garrett for $40, if you want, according to Mary P at Garrett.

Will they market it as a "new" model? - maybe, Mr. Garrett is a consummate marketeer. Will it be new and improved? You be the judge.

OXYMORON ALERT! Can anything be "New and Improved?" If it's new, then it isn't improved...since it's still new. If it's improved, then it can't be new, as it's been around long enough to need improvement.

Well I hope, I just bought a top of the line GTI2500. Got a good deal at KELLYCO.com Can anybody confirm?
