Any new models on the way?

G`Day everyone
I am almost decided on buying a MXT from KellyCo with the 12" coil....BUT.....I understand these machines have been around for awhile.
The day I took delivery of my Fisher F4 , I emailed KellyCo to tell them it had arrived and I noticed the new F5 had been released....bastards. I would hate for that to happen again.
So I thought I would ask if anyone new if there were any new models or upgrades in the pipeline?
Also does anyone know if there are different versions for different climates or areas.
Thanks in Advance
Dan

The MXT 300 is the new version hasn't been out that long. It's the same machine as the old style MXT but comes with the bigger coil and fancy paint. And as far as KellyCo goes you could have sent it back for an up grade if you weren't happy with the F4 and wanted the F5 they are real good about that. So when you order it ask questions they will be glade to answer any you have. :whites:::thumbup:

Hello,

I would be happy to work with you on that. Please feel free to call me at any time with a question, concern or problem of any kind. As far as the MXT 300 (12'') is concerned, it is a very new detector. I really don't anticipate a change any time soon. I have a number of things that we may be able to do with your Fisher f4, call me and we will work it out.

Hey Dan,

Being the owner of the MXT, I can assure that you can't go wrong with it. There's a reason why it has been around for a few years- It gets results. Also, you may want to get yourself a SEF coil, too. These really should be the stock coil, in my opinion. Definitely go with Kellyco, they're here to help!

G`Day Tony
Thanks for your response .
I would love it it we could work something out in regards to the F4 that would allow me to upgrade to a MXT.
I purchased the F4 off you guys earlier this year( Sales Order No. SO182720 ) and the unit had a couple of annoying issues, but they werent bad it enough to warrant sending the machine back (By the way I am in Australia). I recently took it to gold country and when I went to use its auto tune mode i found the discriminate button dosent work.

I know I could send it it to you guys for warranty repairs but that takes money and possibly quite a bit of time.
I tried phoning Fisher customer service to see if we could work something out with getting it repaired over here, but i couldnt get through for some reason, probably me dialling the country code wrong or something........I`ve never made an international phone call before ,hence the reason I am emailling you and not calling direct. If you know how to make international calls my phone no should be on your records.

I would consider a trade-in a good resolve to my issue as It dosent look like the F4 is going to sell on Ebay (finishing tomorrow and no bids) , and if it dosent sell I cant buy an MXT.The F4 is still in really good condition it is only on its 3rd set of batteries. It came with 3 coils but the only one I have really used is the 11" for which I have the scratch plate fitted. There is a mark in the middle of the membrane cover but I understand this cover would be replaced during the repair process anyway so the machine would look as good as new.

Hope to hear from you soon
Dan

warranty jobs have to be returned to the states or I pay to have the repair done locally...either way it is still a lot cheaper than buying local. Its unfortunate I know, but i am not a millionare so I have to make savings where I can.

Fair enough, but watch out for the sinking Aussie dollar and the exchange rate. You buy local and have problems and we solve your problem in the blink of an eye. Teach you how to use the machine in our conditions. Put you onto people and places in your area. And, you only gotta ask, give discounts. So in the end the hundred or so bucks saved can and often does dissolve into insignificance when.... you wait weeks or months for a return overseas fix, pay for repairs that need not have been so, miss out on top info for where to go or get started, get stuck and waste your time and money on a trip when you machine packs it in, miss out on the extra yards and discounts put in for paying customers which we give.
Not that we don't look after anyone and treat them with respect when they come into the shop but it is just and only fair that those who pay the wage,s , the customers, get the golden treatment.
Good luck with the MXT, its a great machine.

Ended up sending the machine back to the states for warranty and Kellyco were AWESOME,!! sent me back a brand new machine in no time at all (THEY EVEN PAID THE POSTAGE!!)
A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO LEILANI AND TONY AT KELLYCO.

I have owned the MXT for about 6 months now. Yes it has been around for a few years now. I don't know if an upgrade is due soon or not. However the new Prism 6T has just come out and would be a good one to look at. I love my MXT and have had great success with it. Its design is one that will not be obsolete for some time to come. It is very well built and will go deep.
