Any new detectors?

Just wondering, with the ageing of the GTI line and the success of the new Aces, is there any scuttlebutt about anything new in the works at Garrett?

Yeah and I would be the first to know and I ain't heard a peep. Maybe Charlie is going to retire on the Ace series. I wish they would come out with something new. Pretty soon I'll get old and feeble and forget how to do field tests.

I would like to see them expand on the 250. Remove one of the modes in exchange for a ground balance mode. Then use the sens + or - buttons for adjustment. Then you could use the upper segments for adjusting. They could sell all the 250 users again with the new 260 model. I would buy it for sure. Then Garrett would rule the world!

Yea, I thought if they could blend together the best of the GTI's with the spunkyness of the Ace, Wow they would have it wooped:crazy:

I say they should camo the 1350 control box - take the coin icons
off - max the sensitivity out until it is totally unstable and relabel
as the all new 1350 RELIC. It would be the dealers got to have one
hot ticket for 6 months!

Yeah I'd like to see it equipped with manual or Fast Track GB plus a compression (squeeze) pinpoint trigger mounted in the top front of the grip plus dual frequency.

I would very much like to see Garrett come out with a fresh/salt water unit, something like the very good AT-4 from the 80's. Do the dual freq thing and make it really usable in the salt, with mode switching like Tesoro has on their Tiger Shark.

Id like to see the 1350 add a fourth tone in the midrange.

It goes DEEP! It also has some discrimination features and must be ground balanced to get the maximum benefit. Mix some of that with the imaging or profiling, depth and target probability, and you would have a lot of used detectors on Ebay. :)
