Any Law Enforcement Folks on here?

MrGee

One of the things that I dug up tonight is a very strange looking device and I watch "Cops" enough to strongly suspect that this is someones crack pipe. For the first time I have a 'treasure' that I want to get rid of as soon as possible. Should I toss this thing in the river, or what?

MrGee

Get rid of it.If its in your vehicle and you happen to get stopped for speeding, etc.they can search under the pretense of probable cause(it happens) and you could be charged with possesion of paraphenalia.HH to all and to all a good haul!Jeremy

Former cop here, who worked narcotics for a year.

Just break it and throw it in the trash. Not much to worry about.

Thanks for the advice Rabid1. Guess that's what I'll do.. Must say it makes me a litttle nervous having the thing around. thanks to the rest ofyou for your thoughts.
MrGee

I found one a couple years back. It really looked more like a hash pipe and it
looked like a little saxophone. I threw it away as well. Not worth keeping something
like that around.

Current Law Enforcement Officer,

I worked narcotics for 10 years. Like someone else said, if you suspect that is what it is I would break it or throw it in a dumpster. Don't throw it in your home garbage.

Yeah it's against the law to be in possession of that stuff or to have it anywhere on any of your property.

Bill

If it is glass break it and toss it. If it is brass recyle it after cleaning it. If it is part of your display and you are doing nothing else wrong in your life then not a big deal. You must be clean or you would not have asked. Often paranoia rules the day.

Let your concience be the guide.
