Any Infinium users out there over 6 foot 1 who detect chest deep?

The reason I ask is that I'm fairly tall and I like to detect chest deep. The deeper you go, the noisier it gets, so I would like to discuss this with someone who's been in the same situation.

I am 6'1" and water detect all the way up to my head as well. If you are detecting parallel to the shore and your coil is going from deep to shallow like most beaches are sloped, then the coil sees more mineralization on the deep side and raises the threshold. How i dealt with it was slightly turning up the discriminate, which calmed the unit down. I did notice however, that if you detect perpendicular to the shore, coming from shore going to deep end then coming back, the threshold remains relatively smooth. I experience this using only the 10" x 14" DD coil, i don't know if this happens with the other coils, maybe someone else could chime in. Hope that helps.
