Hunted an early 1800's homesite this evening and pulled this hunk of brass out of the ground. Thought it might just be a bent piece until I cleaned it up. As you can see in the last pic, it is made this way. I figure it may be an ornamental piece from something in the house. The pencil I am holding it with is a No.2 (for scale). Any takers?
