I have been lurking here but not posting much lol..
I dug in the dirt today for the first time in a long time with all this frozen ground here in CT...
I think this is some type of token.. The back is smooth but the front is interesting.. I found it with my MXT and the VDI's were 79+ seven inches down....

Man,,,what a neat find,
This is only a guess of mine but I would definately research the Medallion or token,
Usually when there is no writing on a token everything is a symbolized with symbols that everybody connects with so lets start with the scales, in the USA scales represent equality to all people living here. The bird could mean the finger,
No,,, just kidding,. The bird looks like an eagle which would represent the Federal goverment, if you notice the eagle is holding the scales with a sword and the scales are tipped out of favor to the eagle.
So I think it means that the Federal goverment needs to use its sword to tip back the scales of equality. now lets think about some group or organization that believes equality it out of balance,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.
I know, Triple A motor club????????? Nope dont think they came around until the 50's,,, Boy I am stumped.
Any one else with a Guess????

I dig it all Johnny... I own a landscaping business so digging comes natural..
I hit a beach Monday and I am sure no one ever detected it before...
See for yourself.. BTW I detected a 40x60 foot area and I hit it twice..
I don't mind digging trash if I find the goods <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
 
I took it to a coin shop and they have a historian coming down to take a look at it today at 2PM.. I'll let you know <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
