Any Ideas?

I found this where my grandparent's house used to be. Any ideas what it is. My brother says it represents a mule shoe.

Sorry about the big pic. I don't understand why my pics are always so big when it was sized about an inch with 100 resolution.

It probably is an old mule shoe. Maybe a representation because it looks like it is made out of copper. I would bet it was decorational, maybe hung on an old barn door or wall. I have seen similar items at old New Mexico homesteads. HH Jason

I'm glad you clarified the size. I was looking for horseshoe nail holes and wondered how it stayed on. It is rather narrow for a horse or pony, so maybe a mule shoe is an appropriate definition. Perhaps it was on a necklace or a home decoration, judging by the "hanger" at the top. But too big for a charm bracelet or earring. And the green tinges make me wonder about it being copper, rather than iron or steel. It's certainly a curiosity.
