Any ideas on this piece?

I found this several years ago while detecting around an old house site that was built in 1830 and burned down in 1890.
This piece was found close to the house and appears to be made of bronze.
It looks like it was fastened something at one time.. perhaps part of piece of furniture?
Thought someone may have an idea about it.
Thanks for any help or ideas about this item.

It's a Harness Mounting.
They came in all sorts of shapes.
Cool relic
Congrats on the find

Thanks for the information... would this have been attached to a buggy?
Looks like you have ID’d it, but the mounting is different on the piece I have.

Yes to a buggy.
There are so many styles, I just picked one that had a few for reference.
