I found this while hunting around an old home site that I'm guessing dates back late 1800's early 1900's but not sure.
It was found about 50 yards from the site and is made out of brass.
It is 5" long and about 2" wide and is about 1/8" thick.
I think there was more to it as it looks like it is broken on one end.
As you can see from the photos, part of it pivots or swivels.
I don't have a clue, but thought someone here might have some ideas.
