ANY IDEAS AS TO WHAT THIS IS???

Took my Nautilus II-Ba out for a test run and found this iron relic near a Yankee picket\camp area. I don't think it's period but would like to know just what it is. The only thing I could come up with being that both ends are sharpened somewhat is that maybe it was hammered into a cut log as means to drag it by. Any ideas as to the ID?

Something to move smaller logs? Like a gaff?

How'd you like the IIBa, Scott? Great machine. Give time to get to know one another and it's a great unit.

I believe I will like the II-Ba after I get used to it and after swinging the Explorer's for 5 years and using TID type detectors for over 6 years. I took it to a place that we have really hammered with Explorer II's and SE's, a Tesoro Tejon, a Fisher F-75 and a White's detector. Unfortunately I didn't hit any targets there but a couple of rusty square nails. I moved to the out skirts of this area and found 5 or 6 modern bullets, several shotgun hulls, half a horse shoe and some other nails and iron targets. Still trying to get used to ground balancing with the auto-tune switch in off position. I'll have it figured out a little better as time goes on.

Hey Scott, I use the auto tune on. You have to be a little bit quicker than with it off but it'll come second nature to you.

Lights are flickering here. I'd best post this before the power goes out. Another summer storm coming through.

Auto-Tune on when doing your ground balance versus doing it manually? I read that doing it manually was more accurate which = more depth. I then turn it on after ground balancing for dual tones in headphones.
