I found tis coin last week and can not find it. I tried to scan and take a pic, but what little detail there is would not show through. I made a crude drawing (I am no artist) I hope it helps. I think my bust kinda looks like Homer Simpson lol The coin is copper and is just slightly smaller the a us quarter. thanks, Dan

Yeah, those three things at the bottom are "fleur de lis", sign of the French royalty.

No clue as to who the king guy is.

The DB could help identify it. The Bourbons were the ruling family.

Let's see if I can add a link. http://multicollec.net/1-mo/2c/1-02c.php, don't know how to make it link, but you can copy the url..

There are several coins on here that closely resemble your drawing. Starting with the 3rd coin down the list of Louis XIII, the coins are "cuivre", copper or in some cases may mean brass.

1610-1643.

Continue down the list to other kings, some resemble your coin also.

"Cuivre" is copper and the DB could be"DE", meaning "of"

Going down the list the Bourbons appear with similar coins.

I think you got a really old coin. What country did you find it in?

You made an excellent drawing.

Hope this helps. I could be all wet and it could be a decoder token from a Crackerjacks box.

Dang, the link worked.
