Any idea on the age of this brass ring?

I found this ring at the field I've been hunting for awhile. This is the 2nd. ring I've found there. Anyone have an idea as to the age of this ring ? The other ring I found, someone said they thought it was an Indian trade ring. Wonder if this one could be also?

If you bring it to the Nashville Civil War show (tomorrow at the State Fairgrounds in Nashville) or in December, Pam Huskey will be there. She knows vintage jewelry. Gh, David

Hey Mike, is that a "D" in the middle of the Ring? I recently found a brass ring very similer with a "D" in the middle of it in a field in Richmond VA. I was pulling Civil War items from about the same depth as the Ring. I will post a pic when I get back home after the Holiday Weekend..........You've got me curious now about mine.
