Any hints of a new DFX coming anytime soon?

Stroop, I heard some chatter about a new DFX with 3 frequencies...3, 15 which it already has and an addition one more in the middle. This was not confirmed by a dealer, so take it with a grain of salt. I would suspect they will though with Minelab's SE being very hot right now. Ron

there will be very little advance notice.news of a new model keeps folks from buying and dealers from ordering stock they don't want to get stuck with when a new improved model comes out.your local dealer is usually the last to know when a new model is coming.

The SE's are still heavy cows and the only folks going bonkers over them are the current Explorer owners.

The Xterras did catch a few more people, though. Caught me for about a month.

The DFX still stands up as the number one user controlled machine. Probably always will. I seriously doubt it will ever be bested in the next twenty years because no one is competing against it. No one is offering anything anywhere close to it. Selectable freq. Selectable id number range. Selectable filtering. Three levels of power control in disc mode. Pinpoint options. not to mention all the other things you can do with it.

I have been reviewing current machines real steady now for two years and used quite a bit of them too in that time. I've come to the conclusion that the DFX will alway be right at the top of the heap when it comes to features and user controllability. Thats one of the reasons I just ordered another one (I made a stupid decision with my first one last year)

Nope, the grass may look greener 'over there' but its not.

free book from Whites on the operation of the DFX. No charge!!! All you have to do is ask for it!! No shipping charges either!! And this is a real nice book, almost makes me want to go out and get one.It will help increase the sales of the existing stock!! Whites are a sharp organization....they have lasted many years....good service....good products ...but my guess is Spring 2007 and new (Explorer Killer) DFX will be here for all to admire!!! Just one man's opinion!!!

I have to disagree with you. White's has had a DVD on the DFX out for the past year that was free to the customer, now we have it in book form. Plus why would they offer a free DVD and book on the current DFX if we have a new one coming out?
