Any guesses what this is?

I already placed this on the "Whatzit Forum" but wanted to run it by y'all!!

It's about 2-3 lbs. 7.5" in diameter and found at a shallow depth (2-3") and it does not stick to a magnet. Some type of shield??? So small though. Found at an 1880 farm house.

I would bet it is an old milk pail lid like the one below.

Looks like some type of lid to me also. Check around if MH is right there may be a milk can full of treasure close by. Nice find. HH

Yes...probably some type of lid. I believe it's made out of lead. It's relatively flat, doesn't seem as if it were ever domed lid at all but it's old. Thanks for the input!! It's not a shield...ha ha.
