This might help maybe.
Looking them up it says the chisels should be extremely sharp, and should be sharpened by an expert
but it does tell how to do it!
Some of the models are even hydraulic on the chisel push.

Never used one i use style and rail type routing for that type work!

My brother owns a Delta mortise machine BUT it is a professional machine and not an attachment. BUT I do know his drills and chisels for it are extremely sharp. I have used it a lot working in his shop. Sorry.

a piece o' 5/4 x 12 x 8' rough cut poplar for the task only cost me $32.00 from a local saw mill.
It is much more gratifyin' to build somethin yerself than to jist go lay down the benjamins
for somethin made with extreem lack o' quality.
Craftsmanship my young Virginian,(formerly of Alaska), craftsmanship
Not to meantion that my door will not be the same as anyone elses. :D

I did find some stones on line Robert but that will hold this project up fe a week er so :(

I realize that the sharpenin process has to be , as you say, "professional" but i got the skills to build the nessecary
jig(s)and use either my drill press or my lathe to accomplish the task.
