Any E-Trac relic hunters out there?

Doesn't seem to be the # 1 machine for relics, but it may be that ya'll are just keeping very quiet. I know how relic hunters are- quiet about anything that might give their secrets away. I don't blame you!

I use the Minelab Etrac and it is a good machine. Not the best machine I have used for relic hunting. It is just so darn heavy for all day hunting. Sned me a PM if you need to know more.

P.S.

I've used the Minelab Explorer, Explorer II, and the Etrac so I have some years of experience with the machines. Thanks!

I swing an etrac and have done well with it finding relics that others have over looked or that were too deep for the detector they were using. All depends on matching site and conditions to machine settings, but that's the same with most detectors. Etrac may not be the best relic detector available, going from what others have said, but I've dug 11 and 12 inch deep bullets and I think that's pretty outstanding. Nine inches and less is a cinch. The main site I hunt I use a screen with minimal discrimination to knock out nails and small bits of iron, two tone ferrous for sounds, and amp up the manual sensitivity as far as the area will allow without causing instability. I also hunt with "deep" on, and "fast" on if the area I'm hunting is trashy (off if it is relatively clean). Gain I've set to about 27. I hunt mainly by sound but often check my numbers if the target is fairly shallow, or the signal very iffy. Feel free to ask any questions.
