I was talking to one of my friends about my metal detecting in the Gulf and the Atlantic side. He asked me if I had ever heard of any folks who detect in the water that were killed by sharks.
He is a diver and was wondering because he heard about a shark repellent device that uses electronic waves to keep sharks at bay. He said that maybe a metal detector gives off electronic signals that sharks may not like. He's never hear of anyone with a metal detector getting bit or eaten.
Has anyone have a link to a story about detectorists being eaten or any info on metal detectors and sharks?
