I've read the posts on coils, but found little on White's 1400 DD coil. Does anyone have any thoughts on or experience with this coil?

thanks in advance,
matt

My tests, comparing the 1400 to the stock 950: the 1400 weighs 50% more (24 oz versus 16 oz) BUT gives about 40% more coverage per sweep at surface, and about 2/3rds more coverage on really deep targets (thus far more ground searched per sweep) and I also found that the 1400 got (about) 20% more depth then the 950. Bottom line: If you have open ground, and don't mind the extra weight, you will cover more ground, and find deeper stuff with the 1400 versus the 950. In my tests, I found that the Eclipse 1400 is by far and away the BEST 14" DD for the MXT/DFX on the market. 1400 is well worth the money if your detecting needs warrant it. Hope this helps; HH Jim
