any belt mounted T-handle shovel carriers?

Hi all, I recently purchased a predator tools piranha shovel with a T-handle and want a way to mount it on my belt. Anybody make or buy anything like this? Maybe some kind of hook or holder set up? Thanks all and HH.

Take a look at the Wagner Tool Lasso. I got one at Lowes to use to carry my sand scoop on my belt. Its in the Ladder section of the store for some strange reason .

Take a piece of rod (I used brazing rod ) bend it in the middle around some half inch pipe.. place a inch or so of the bend in a vise place a 1/2 pipe next to it and bend around it.... Now you have a open ended bent U shape hook.. Take a couple of wire straps and affix to where you want to your shovel handle.. Wrap some tape around it and the wire ties.. I just hook it to the pocket of my finds pouch that way the blade isn't against my leg..

A word of caution FWIW.
If you guys are talking long shaft digging shovels like the piranha be careful how low the thing hangs down ... depending on the detector of course.
And how far out you adjust the detector's coil shaft. I like to adjust the coil shaft length as short as practicable to reduce sweeping fatigue.

If my digging shovel's blade is below the knee area, my eTRAC with manual hi-sensitivity enabled and NEL Tornado coil will detect it enough to cause sporadic falsing squeak tones.

Not saying this would be an issue with all detectors but it certainly is with my eTRAC.
Might want to test this out with the detector before jury rigging or buying a belt holder.

When i use a long handled shovel, I rest it over my shoulder and call it a day.

My shovel hangs horizontally on my belt. The S shaped sheet metal piece in the photo hooks onto my belt. The shovel seen in the back round has a heavy wire piece screwed to the shaft, it hangs on the S hook. (I used one screw, the other end is slipped into a small hole in the shaft). Gotta find the right spot so shovel balances horizontally. The S hook needs to be sheet metal so the shovel doesn't swivel around when hanging. Easy to make. The heavy wire piece can be attached to the shaft using tape, wrapped several times around the shaft.

i have a predator shovel that i use and i took a piece of rope that i found that had a ring on it i tied the ends together and looped the rope through the ring over my belt in my rear.i put the shovel handle through the rope and let it dangle behind me. hasnt affected my detector(ctx) yet but on occasion it hits the back of my legs when i walk fast.
