Any AT Pro or AT gold users from NE Ohio or Western PA...

Mark ( ohio )

Well-known member
would really like to know first hand how the detector operates in our soils around here.. Any thoughts and all opinions are greatly appreciated before I make a purchase.

Thanks Mark ( ohio )

I live in the Akron area. I mostly hunt old schools and parks which have received heavy detecting pressure over the years. So far this year I have found over 30 silver coins . I had only 1 year detecting experience with a ace 250 prior to purchasing the at pro. I still feel like I am learning the at pro every time i use it , but it has amazed me in its ability to find silver. I pulled a 1910 barber dime at 8 inches last weekend at a school which I have hunted numerous times in the past. The at pro also works very well in trashy areas and separates targets well. Hope this helps.

One more thing. The soil in NE Ohio usually lets me run very stable in pro mode, 0 discrim, and full sensitivity. I usually ground balance in the 85-90 range and very rarely do I have to drop the sensitivity.

Youngstown? Always looking for someone to detect with. I have a few spots that usually produce a silver or 2. If you ever want to give them a try let me know.
