Any advice for filming in the water please

Hi guys, I have splashed out and bought a go pro 2 camera. I have filmed a bit of wading and beach hunting with it head mounted, it's ok, but I was wondering if anyone out there has any good ideas about mounting it so the camera shot is better. I am going scuba detecting with it on Sunday, weather permitting, so any advice for that would be helpful. I'm going to posts some videos as soon as I am ok with filming and uploading it. Thanks guys, good luck out there, WW

You can check out my videos on youtube,,,,caymanlostandfound. I have mine mounted with the handle bar mount on shaft. I have tried many different ways. It does not work well like this to keep it on because you will get dizzy watching it go back and fourth. I have my gopro set to turn on and video immediately, so when I hear a good target, I just turn it on and hope its gold. I have tried head mount on headphones, mounted on the scoop and also made a mount that attached to the back of my detector shaft with pvc coupling so it gave a better, bigger view....All in all, it's best on my handle. Can also search metal detecting Cayman islands on youtube.

Hope this helped some. Gopro's are the best aren't they...

you can use the handle bar mount to go onto your rod or you can throw it on your scoop handle ive seen both. I personally gave up on trying to record and detect at the same time. Now I only bring the cam out when I find something worth shooting which isnt very often lol...

Looking forward to the vids WW, good luck, lets see the gold....

Thank you for the well wishes guys, and the good advice. I have started to film a few hunts, I have a short clip, I'll try and upload it, it's of the bullet find. Hope to post some gold finds soon :)
