Nice finds! Do folks over there hunt the waters for older items? In the summers here I spend a lot of time hunting rivers, fords, etc. with great success. Curious to know.

Hi Dan, the rivers in my neck of the woods are very deep, fast flowing ,and could be a danger

to any detectorist. The tidal river Thames is a popular river for the guys living in London,

but very, very, muddy, but it has produced some fantastic finds over the years.

I don't mind searching in shallow streams, but my favorite are the Beaches all around Englands

coast line, plenty of old stuff under the sand and some nice Gold and Silver jewelry.

Having said all that, the Roman ,Saxon, and older artifacts are found on land that has been

farmed for hundereds of years, and this is where most of the guys in the U K spend most of

there Detecting Time, hope this answered your question

Hi Gopher, I thought I had found a Hammered Coin until I turned it over and

realised it was a BUTTON, but a very nice button.
