Last week Dad and I went back down to RP.
We each had 2 days to detect, unfortunately they were not at the same time. Dad went down 2 days before me because I could not get off work.
Then When I finally got down there we spent about 3 hours detecting together before he had to go home.
Anyways, Dad found 5, and I found 10. He had about 1/4 ounce, and I ended up with about 1/2 ounce.

His biggest was 5+ grams.
He said someone had already scraped above the nugget, and it sounded like mineralization.
Whoever was diggin before must have just given up on it. Good job pops!!:clapping:

Thanks Marc,
However I sense a little sadness?
I wish I was rich, I would buy us round trip tickets to Victoria Australia or someplace like that.
Then we could go find another hand of faith nugget, or better.
I really wish I had connections, and gobs of money to make a trip down there... Someday maybe.
Do you have any future plans of a Nevada trip?
I am heading back down this Wednesday, for another 4 days.
Then again for 9 days middle of Oct.
I'll make sure to slam a shot of some good whiskey with you in mind.:drinking:

Gus, It is good to see your Paps out there making some Golden Finds. Rye Patch is for Die Hards and you guys certainly make it look easier than it really is.
Guess it just goes to show you what a Trained Ear can hear compared to someone who has never been trained.
