Another Vacant Lot

I was driving over to the lot that gave up the 1922 penny last weekend when I noticed they were tearing down another house down the block. I figured "why not" give it a try. I hunted with the X-8 coil then went back over with the X-5 coil. Not much silver but I found enough wheats to make a loaf of bread. I guess people in this neighborhood didn't have alot of spare change to lose.

today's take:

1951 Rosie

Wheats: (2) 1910, (2) 1913D, 1918D, 1919D, 1927, 1933D, (2) 1937D, (2) 1940D, 1942D, 1944, 1945D, 1949, 1951D, 1951S, 1952D, 1958D

1927 Buffalo

10KT Gold Church Pin

You did well in that lot. What kind of Token did you find? Was it a Good For In Trade Type? You may have to go over that yard again. I bet there still is a few keepers that are waiting for your return trip. Good Luck and HH.

The token was for a local business (furniture store), good for $1 with $20 purchase. It appears to be from the late 50s - early 60s.

Coming from an old coal region area yards are loaded with wheaties. I remember when I was a kid that one wheatie could buy some nice candy..
Being patient believe me where their is wheaties just might find a silver or two...Heck one yard produced 35 wheaties before I got a deep standing liberty quarter...Do go back...

I'll be back there to find that silver. I typically run in conductive AM but I ran in ferrous AM the other day due the large amount of iron present. I found the low tone for iron very similar to the DFX and easy on the ears. I do have one question though, in conductive I can tell I might have silver (either deep or co-located near trash) when I hear the high tone and see the cursor do the horizontal bounce. Will I get the same tone & cursor response in ferrous? Or will I get a high tone quickly followed by a low tone? I assume the cursor bounce will still be there.
