another tuff week......

Six days worth of hunting here in Podunk. 3 privates yielded all the wheats except 3 and not even a rosie. The merc, cool cactus, 3 wheats came from the little park I've been working last Fri. Think I've about got it to the best of my abilities as it took 4 hrs to scare up 4 coins. Called on another private here in Podunk tonight and got another NO....!!!!!! I've had some GREAT weather to work with but unfortunately my locations suck...... Part of hunting in Podunk is working around the town deer and with the rut right around the corner the boys are starting to do a little sparring. It's kinda spooky when you are on your knees digging out a target and a couple deer come blasting right by you when you least expect it.....lol I haven't been going into the big city for coins this season as I absolutely hate everything about the big city (except for their coins) so I'll keep grinding right here in Podunk....something will eventually turn up.....

Can't tell you guys how close I came to calling this post ...... "BIG seated found" (the brit coin).........lol

At least you got one silver. I'm surprised that buck stood still for a photo. How far away were you when you took the pictures? If that had been me I would have been coming home with some venison lol. Think next time out I will carry my rifle and detector. Kill two birds with one stone.

Know what you mean about the big cities! The oldest most promising one's within a day's reach around here would require a U.S. Marine platoon escort!
