Another Trip North To My Favorite Field.

Had a chance to get out last Sunday for some much needed detecting. The wife had a family baby shower to attend so off to the field we go.We started out at a different location close to our normal hunting field. We didn't turn up anything worth mentioning but kept on trying. As I was swinging in a newly plowed section I noticed that someone swept thru the area and I called to my friend to see if he hit that section. When he asked on the radio if I meant where I was standing the answer was no_Ok lets hit old reliable now and find some old stuff.
Here are my finds from the field.First was a toasted wheat cent, next a pocket knife, then a 57 car registration tag.Now came night time and the right time for hunting this field. All the good finds seem to be found during the night in this field.I hit a small cuff button first and then a large bullet.Got my friend on the radio and he isn't having any luck so we decided to head home. While detecting back to the truck I found a 1770's King George III Half Penny laying right on the surface on a newly plowed section. No digging involved only bad thing was it got hit by something in the past but a great way to end a hunt.

A few pics. Thanks for your time. John
