Another Threshold Question

Greetings all,

Just curious on what everyones opinion is on the setting of thr threshold on the Etrac. I have been using a few of Andy's programs here in So Cal with a little modifications and have been doing real well. But after reading the post below on Thresholds, it got me curious on what setting everyone uses

....I run mine mine turned off.

I run no iron disc so hear everything in the ground....the threshold won't null out for me!!!.....pointless having it.

Gaz.

I knew Gaz was going to say that. Again, this will all come down to what type of hunting you're doing. I like to run mine barely audible when using Conductive tones. I run it also when in TTF, but like Gaz said, there's really no point in running a threshold when you're gonna hear almost every iron hit anyway. I run mine when in Conductive because I want to know when I'm in the iron and how much area it is. This is running Andy's Coin Program. If I was hunting say an old town site that is now a field, TTF is the way to go due to swing speed and area covered.
