Another Tesoro!

It's handy having a wife who works at the local post office. I had a nap after work and woke up to find my wife home with a Tesoro box in her arms. Yep....my brand new Sandshark had arrived. What a way to cheer up an afternoon....

Here it is...

Which completes my trio...
trio.jpg

A Deleon for land hunts, a Tigershark for freshwater hunts and now a Sandshark PI for saltwater and alkali hunts. This trio works well since the Tigershark works fine as a backup land detector should the Deleon need to be serviced, while the Sandshark works as a backup water detector for the Tigershark. So...land or water I've got double coverage now and can hunt any ground conditions.

Can't wait to try the Sandshark out, but...temperatures were below zero all day today so..maybe in a week or so.

HH all !
:)

Now that's the way to go!,i have VQ now and looking at tiger shark for river hunting, just like you said good backup for land,i think i will be set with these two detectors, plan to get into gold, maybe i will look into the Lobo, but may be able to cover that with VQ,GOOD LUCK with those great detectors!Chucky.

Scott congrats on the new machine. Looking forward to what you have to say about it, always wanted to try the sandshark. Ive used the tiger so I know how that one works.

I just got my Tesoro Sand Shark last week as well and cant wait to hit the beaches. When I assembled the Sand Shark, I noticed that the screw that came with it does not fit the holes of the coil, the screws were too thick. After talking to Tesoro, I was told that they've changed the coil to fit a thicket plastic black screw vs a gray thin one. Instead of sending me a new coil, Tesoro wanted me to send back the coil at my expense and they will drill larger holes. It was a good thing that I bought the Sand Shark from Detector Depot and they sent me the newer coil and I got it in 2 days. Check yours to make sure you have the newest coil that fits a thicker black screw and if not, let Tesoro or your dealer replace it cause they will no longer carry the thin gray plastic screw from what I was told. Good Luck and congrats on the new Shark.

Gerday, I have the DeLeon, Eldorado Umax, Cibola. Tejon and had a Tiger Shark. You cant go wrong with the combination you have. My first Tesoro was a
silver sabre II, which I traded on the Eldorado.Wish I had hung onto the silver sabre and had it along with all the others. I love the Tesoros. I have other brand detectors, but love the Tesoros. HH Sapper.

Howdy Scott
I have been using a Tiger Shark for 9 years...........never had a problem with it, so I never need a backup water machine for a backup. Though to be honest I have an "older Tesoro model" addiction and pick up from time to time a decently priced and choice condition older brown box ED120 machine once in awhile. Those older models are super smooth opperators in the iron infested old places I like to hunt. My 2 cent piece's worth.................Hombre
