Another Surprise Today!!

Today i came across another surprise that about made me pee my pants!!! I went back to the area were i found that 1866 shield nickel last week... As soon as i got out of the car i walked across the yard of this small building working my way towards the big field... The very first signal 15 feet from the car sounded to good to be true... fluttering around in the top right hand corner of the screen... I opened up the plug and fought through some dry dirt and gravel... I got down about 7 inches and the probe started ringing :detecting: Then about 9 inches down i about fell over when i saw a silver quarter appear from the ground  I couldn't believe this one at all... This place has been pounded my everyone and their brother since the 80's...
The only thing i know is the 10x12 SEF coil is amazing!!! Some of you guy make fun of me for buying so many coils,, but nothing replaces this one! Its amazing how you can find deep coins in iron infested ground and they sound great! I love the pro coil by Minelab and have recovered some great finds with it... But i can go through an area with it,,, dig 5 coins and fifteen nails... Then go back through and dig just as many or more coins and only 3 or 4 nails... And usually the nails or iron you do dig is the big fat pieces.. Trust me i've done the test lol I wouldn't trade that baby in for anything! !
After the quarter i didn't care to dig another coins,,, I was happy for the day! But i did manage to pull out a few wheats and a junk ring... I always have to do my part and clean the wheat penny's out for everyone else to find the silver!!! LOL
Well thanks for looking everyone and take care!!

Congrats on finding silver in a "hunted out" site.

My first Barber was a 1900 quarter that I found back in 1977 with a Garrett Groundhog, I was excited for a long time. You did good, go hit it again. HH John

Nice Nickel man! N/T Not ever!!!

Beautiful piece of silver, bro! You are right about that butterfly coil. I put one on my exp II and there's no going back!
