It hit 43 today so the 3 of us headed out. My grand total was 21 quarters, one of which was a silver '63, 20 dimes, 9 nickels, 27 pennies, 1 stainless pendant, and 1 what we believe is a 1/2 carat/1/2 + diamond ear ring set in gold! I plan to take it to the jewelers tomorrow for verification. Mapper 65 had a handful of loot as did mom, it was a great day of hunting!

Nice ice!

Congrats on a great day! Lunch money, silver, diamond, and gold....what more could you ask?
I'm planning on getting out tomorrow for my first hunt. The forecast and my schedule is looking like I may get out on the fields later in the week.

We're supposed to get 4-6" of snow starting late tomorrow :-( had to get out when we could. We even ended up in the middle of an Easter egg hunt today ... we had to pack it up due to the crowding.

7 bucks +,silver, gold and diamond...Great!!!!....I've been looking for that diamond stud earring for years at the beach. At this point,a cz and gold would suffice...What was the TID?
Looks like that bad weather is going to get us here in west central Fla. the first 2 days of spring break have not been the best beach weather with high wind and sea fog, and the forecast for temps only in the 60 to 70 the rest of the week will keep many away till it is nicer....next week they say 80's+...HH GL

Bob.Oz, Mapper 65 asked me the same thing right after I dug it, quite honestly I don't remember, I dug it basd on the sound. I do however remember it being one of those finds that you had to walk around and sweep from many directions, kind of like a coin on its end.

Went to the jewelery shop tonight and the verdict is in ................ F.A.K.E .... :- (

Oh well, if it were easy it would be no fun I guess. That's whay they call it treasure HUNTING and not treasure FINDING!
