The metal is solid 10kt yellow plumb gold. For those who might not be familiar with plumb gold, that means the gold content strictly conforms to the 41.7% gold content requirement to be sold as 10kt gold. No more and no less. Some countries allow the gold content to fall slightly under 41.7% and still be stamped 10k. That isn't necessarily a bad thing since the variance isn't much. The reason plumb gold is so worthy of discussion is that it is normally associated with higher quality jewelry.
