Another spin around the drying lake shoreline.

Got permission to hunt a summer youth camp located on the lake. During the winter the Canadian Kayak team stays at the camp and trains on the lake. The man that built the camp was there visiting, he had to show me part of a raft they found in the water in 1945. He had to be in his eighties, I listened and I learned, now I have permission to hunt the entire camp including the old home site (1850s)of the owner before it became a youth camp.

THIS WAS GREAT DROVE RIGHT TO THE EDGE OF THE BEACH AREA. LAST YEAR THE DOCK WAS WHERE MY JEEP IS SITTING.

This ring is in bad shape, it said 925, but I think it was plated, and that is all gone now. I still count it as # 20 for the year, a ring is a ring. And a wheat penny before and after 1 1/2 min.of electrolisis.

If the ring is stamped .925, then it should be good to go on silver. Bar material! GOTTA LOVE IT!

Great finds! I'm a very newbie. Can you tell me how you clean your finds? I found a coin the size of a half dollar but is covered in rust or some other grime, not sure.
