Got out last night after the sunset and all the little snow warriors with their parents left and had supper. I got just over $4.00 in cold cash and a nice heart charm, which I was hoping was gold, but wasn't. Not a real diamons either :(. But it sure was nice to get out! :)

John,
Thank goodness for thread made in China! Pockets with holes in them! Nice post! I'm so cold here in Missouri I've had to scan the Beach forun to get warm...

john you are either the most dedicated person i know that loves detecting or are just plain nut's.keep up the good work.i wish i had your drive.:super:

Looks like someone isn't afraid of a little cold. Nice finds.

How do you get away from your wife to go MDing so much? You always have a list for everything. Give us a list of ways to free up more time to MD.:nerd:
When I was laid off last year, I MD over 20 hours a week. There were some days I would MD for 10 hours strait and go with out eating. My wife was never happy about that.:argue: Now, that I am working, I can only get in 10 hours a week. I try to keep my Ace with me to take advantage of any situation that come up. My wife just doesn't understand me. I need to free up more time to MD.

(If my wife reads this, I am only joking. Do not take any of this seriously.)

I would suggest taking $100.00 of your hard earned clad to the Jewelry store. Purchase a nice ring that just happens to be your wife's size.
Then on your way home stop by the park. NO not for detecting! But exit your car and find the dirtiest place to fall to your knees. Wiggle around some to grind the dirt in. Then dig some dirt with your bare hands only to wipe the soil into the newly purchased ring. Then go to the trash cans and find about 10 pull tabs and get then all dirty too. A few zincs would not hurt either.
Then arrive home past dinner time. Your wife will be really mad because you didn't call home like most men. Take your finds to the kitchen sink and start getting mud all over it. This is another thing that men do!
Then you start yelling at your wife. Look, look! She slowly comes over thinking you found a paper clip or maybe just maybe a dog tag.
Then slap that ring in her hand. That ring will fit her like a glass slipper. All will be well my friend - all will be well............................

Wow, that's a rough one, but sounds like it would work well.
I thought it would be easier to give mine some cash and let her take off to the store. Don't have to rough it that way. Then I can be gone MDing before she gets back. Better yet - don't pay, don't tell, just do it..
Works with getting a new detector too. You must have several for this to work. When she doesn't know it, slip that new machine among the others. Then when you decide to go MDing, pull a few out and, hum, I haven't used this one in awhile. She will say "I don't remember seeing that one". Yea, it's been awhile so I think I'll take this one today. Works...

I come home from work without metal detecting on the way home and walk in grumpy, tired, depressed......:goodnight::argue:

I come home from work after metal detecting on the way home from work and I'm happy, luvy-dubby, strong :jump::bouncy::crazy::wiggle:

So.....the moral of the story is hunt and be happy! :)

It works with fishing poles and so forth. When there is so much, she can't keep track either - try it. Mine is blonde...

Yeah if the weather is halfway decent my wife is asking me why I ain't out detecting. Course she wishes she could go but that ain't going to happen ever again. When I come home she always wants to know what I've found and wants to see it.
