I think this detector was made for me! I hope all of you feel the same way about your detector! Usual 3 hour hunt, 63 coins, $4.36 in clad, one bent silver ring, trying to straighten!

Its always nice to find a ring either gold or silver, i have

never found a single ring yet with my dfx so i guess i will have to find some better sites to search.

The silver rings I keep finding 5 this year already have all shown up as dimes. VDI>81, they often look like pulltabs but the shine gives them away. Hope this helps.

can you give me good basic program for the dfx ive had it for about 2 years and have never used anything except the basic coin serch program

Sure if you go into the dfx forum, just past the top. There is an area highlighted in blue. Check out Dave Z's program. Also little changes even using the factory coin program can be a help, such as bumping your PAG from 2 to 3, bump up your AC sen (until unit becomes unstable then back off a little) if you are not using tone id try it. also the pre installed eeprom programs seen to work well. Try the eeprom dp-silver program, this program is designed with coins in mind good luck.
