Another short "dig it all" jewelry hunt, only marginally better...

Well, I went back for 1 1/2 hours this morning to the same park with the softball complex, only this time I hit a wood chip tot lot. I dug a few pennies and a nickel, the assorted pull tabs/pop tops, lots of foil, a few buttons, and a few pieces of junk kid's jewelry. Nicest piece was a small cross pendant -- looks like it may be gold plated, though a good bit of the plating has worn off. No doubt this machine hits hard on VERY small pieces of metal; I just need to get that coil over a good piece, one way or another...

hey Steve did better than me today on the jewelry front one junk ring for me today did get a old silver shilling so that was kool, keep swinging your getting closer :detecting:

recon your getting close the gold will come and then so will that smile and i think it was just relief when i found my 1st ring dropped to my knees and gave thanks i think felt like some weight had been lifted sounds strange but am sure we have put so much pressure on each other as detectorists to find gold that when it happens its more relief than joy not sure if this makes any sense but with all the hard work that goes in to finding it. it was like oh thank God finally

yeh silver coin was kool.

i got to travel tomorrow i think want to try somewhere i haven't been before change of scenery and who knows what shows up every swing can produce something totally unexpected. guess that's why its fun.

good luck on the next outing :detecting:

Yep -- that's why it's fun, never know what may show up under your coil!

I felt that "pressure" with finding the silver at one point; now it's with gold. Guess we should just take it easy and have fun, right? I probably need to apply that approach to ALOT of things... :)

Steve

you found silver hey? so gold will be the same i just keep swingin and the stuff will come try some different spots even the ugly ones and take the pressure of to find things i just think well keep swingin keep diggin the stuff will come it has no choice:clapping: every day is different, yesterday i just went where theres nothing swung the coil watched the people play in the sun and found some coins and sure wasn't expecting to, so who knows what shows up  wasn't expecting a silver coin.

i am more interested in my relationship with the machine that's what its about for me i think understand the tool i am using funny beeping gadget

well off to look at a spot i haven't before 99 percent chance its been hunted before but its the adventure and the learning the machine all the rest is icing on the cake?

no pressure Steve just fun !! :detecting::lmfao:

new after saying that this morning i would have a day to test my attitude and i did :nopity: but hey if it was good every day how would know when i was having a good day? so its all part of the fun hey :clapping: swung all day for 6 coins and 3 i didnt even need to detector for so i was right was hunted out. i am still smiling :clapping: tomorrow prob be worse so i better shut up now

Hey Steve
Persistence will pay off sooner or later just keep up the search . I don't know if they play too much volley ball there but its been pretty good in the courts here. A area in the ball fields that has done well for me is right along the edges of the fence and back stop. The Gb is capable of hunting within inches of a chain link fence and other detectors might not do that so well.
Hope you hit it soon
HH
