Another Ring...(finally)

Been a real dry spell finding rings...but probably pretty natural since all of my rings have been beach finds and the beach not too crowded now. This ring was found in my local park about 3" deep. Rang a 76 on my F4 and I figured another dime. It was there in the side of the plug...a thin silvery line. Breaking apart the plug showed me the DIAMOND...WOOHOO....finally.

Has a "U" with an arrow through it and the word "STERLING"...no other marks...not even ".925" like my other silver rings. Any idea what the "U" with arrow stands for?

That's the Hallmark, Uncas Mfg. Co. Providence Rhode Island 1911- present. Large Mfg. of Sterling and costume jewelry. The mark on your ring was introduced in the mid twenties.
Nice!
