Flatliner I'm with you. I'm a rookie but have learned alot here in this forum. I hope someone answers your question as I'd like to know also.
But here is my question. When detecting and when I get a solid hit I look at the LCD display (MXT). If the LCD says a minus number in relic mode or C/J mode I should not bother to dig those correct? Only the Positive numbers should I bother to dig correct? Thanks all, Ron Z

Some thin rings can register in the - not to far from zero. The VDI on my daughers diamond platinum ring is 6. My BH read jumps foil/nichel/pulltab. That's where I think multitones have an advantage, hi tone near iron, like the DFX.hh

I don't use the coin mod, always the relic mode, but
I have found out that - numbers are usually ferrous
especially when they lock-on. If the target is
extremely deep and it jumps from - to +, I dig it.
Can be either. I think you'll find out that a
VDI lock is usually what it says. HH and best to
you, Richardntn
