You will have to post an answer as I cant use my E Mail address as I get 200-350 spam a day so I just gave up on it!Deathwind1

Soory about doule posting i am still getting use to this I live in southwestern part of Oregon in Roseburg .Been hunting for just little more than 6 months found two gold rings and two silver dimes nothing older than 44 but iam still looking..lot of clad.Rick

You are in a gold area have you tried using the mxt for nuggets yet---I am (hope)PLANNING on going to Az. to the border area in July to do some nugget hunting as I have seen some from there the size of the first joint of your thumb--Deathwind1

I guess that would be OK if you can find some good nugget hunting country higher in the mountains, but not where I have hunted in AZ.
Good luck to you!

I dont have much choice as I am still working full time 12 mo. a year and La Center Schools only allow janitors to take vacation in the summer! I know how Hot it will be as before I got married I went 15 summers to the desert-I hope the area outside of Tombstomb (Greaterville area)will be a hole 5 degrees cooler as it will be over 5000 ft--What I dont remember is the average height of the land in the whole area-I have been in Death Valley in august and it was around 117 degrees BUT I was 35-40 not 68 as I am now--Oh well I can always return if I cant hack the Temp--I started 3 years ago spent 6 days out of a planned 3 weeks (Shingles) This time I will be alone and staying in my Bronco to pay for the gas cost!Deathwind1

Are you sure that isn't something that I posted?
That's what 85%+ of my detecting jaunts are anymore, just me and my detectring gear. Sometimes my loyal dog, Tracker, and .... like you .... health issues always seem to cut some of the trips shorter than what my spirt would like to have them be.
All the best to you. Take water, try and stay in any shade you can hunt in. Hunt very early and late and don't take chances.
Humm, that sounds like information I always give myself, and then don't always pay attention to!

there is a group of az guys at nuggetshooter .com they will be a lot of help in their forum.good luck

I will be going where a friend pulled 6 nuggets--A 10 square mile area called Greaterville Az.He will show me the exact area within a 100 ft.--He came back with 6 nuggets in 4 days all large the biggest being the length and depth of the first joint of your thumb---deathwind1

Well I intend to take no chances (if thats possible) I know about the problems along the border--Also about the drug leaders offering $200,000 For a Dead border patrolman-I will be packing my small 44 (Super Redhawk)I leaving my bigger ones home (454 C.)--Only 1 time in those 15 years did I have a gun on me--An hour-And I did not even know it till he came out of hiding and told me if I had done anything he did not like NOBODY would have found me--After we talked for 3 hours we parted friends and I held NO hard feelings over it!deathwind1

Generally they are of the 9mm or .357 variety but able to do the job if I need to do mine.
Again, all the best to you and I hope your nugget tally outweights your Redhawk!
