Another Question on CZ-3D

Well I'm sure I seen a video of I think GeorgiaCanuck from Vancouver or someone like that had a video showing the CZ-3D in action. I did a scan on back post but can't find a video showing this detector, I was more interested to see the face plate of the detector. I looks like possably a meter with some common coins, nails, gold etc. showing
or is this just a sticker is there actually a meter on this thing? I would like to see this face plate up close if it actually is one, if so how accurate is it on U.S. coins.?
Anyway show me where to find this video.
Thanks

From what I gather, it is an analog meter. I'm assuming it'll show the depth, also. I haven't seen one in person and was wondering that myself, at first. I think there's a little needle that moves with it but am not 100%.

Here you go on page 8 is a complete picture of controls and the analog meter.......Dan

Hi Dan
Sorry your link does not work for me.
Thanks

Thanks everyone whom answered, I have been around so I know I play Dumb but have been detecting since the 70's so I know how to hunt by sounds only, well to familiar with that. I was just curious about the meter on this if it I.D.'s properly, I have passed over some good targets in the past by having no meter, and have found 50 cent silver coins ignored because they sound so much like buried coke cans.
That's where a meter comes in handy. I had to switch over to another metered detector one day that showed it was no can, but actually a coin, in a old Fairground in the past. The property had a Ball Field in the middle and loads of Aluminum whiskey Screw caps and buried coke cans down a foot or more. This Fairground dated back to the 1800's so Lot's of crap over the ground. I gave up digging coke cans and lost finding some larger silver coins I'm sure because of no meter.
Thanks for help for this video. Will try to find it.

A silver dollar or half will bring you out of the detecting trance, that's for sure.

A cz3d meter will shoot up to quarter on a can anyway, but it pinpoints very big and will usually sound off before the coil is over it, if not too deep.

It will also ring high tone on American coins if calibrated properly, even most nickels.....that was the design intent.

I'm very fond of my cz, it will pick up dime size flat buttons 9"+ deep. ....some high tone, some mid tone, or a mix. I rarely look at the meter, not necessary.

It will high tone on nails until checking at different angles, then if it grunts, I walk, if not, I smile while digging, especially around old colonial home sites.

If your strictly a clad hunter, I think the cz is overkill, I would opt for a lighter unit. If you hip or chest mount the cz, it's still nose heavy with the 10.5" coil.

A cz will shine in low to mid trash....high trash and iron, I'm breaking out a better separating machine.

Thanks Steve for your great info always good to know before I purchase one. I did find the videos and sure enough it's a analog meter. I was impressed with the videos I think Dirtfishing showed so good depth on low sensitivity settings. It is probably one of the next few purchases for me. It reminds me of my Fisher 1265X another HOT DEEP detector. I think the 1265X can give a run to some of the newer detectors today. But of course No Meter and go by sound. OK friends appreciate all the comments and will keep them in mind. Some of the New meter ones don't justify Canadian coins anyway, they are calibrated for U.S. coins mostly. The only thing accurate are pulltabs, and pop tabs and some nails. Good Hunting to each and everyone of you may your coils upturn the find of the century!
