Another Question about coils

I have another question about larger coils for the Sovereign. I have decided between the WOT and the Sunray 12". I would like to know does the WOT get more depth than the S12 or would the advantage over the S12 just be more ground coverage. Also would the S12 be more sensitive to smaller targets because of its' smaller size or do both coils have have about the same sensitivity on small targets. It will mostly be used for lake beaches. Thanks for your help.

ive used the wot coils before and found them to be less stable and alittle more heavier on both the explorer and a sovereign. ive replaced them both with sunray 12's and i find i like them better.

I have used both the S-12 and WOT and find that the S-12 is easier to move about in the shallow water, but the WOT gets more depth for Gold rings in my area, on the fresh water beach's, maybe an inch or two max. I use my S-12 on an Excaliber and a WOT on a SOV/GT nowadays. It was a tough decision on which coil but I feel settled on my decision to go this route. Both coils are great!

Seems to me to be more sensitive on smaller targets and is very accurate at pin-pointing. I use it on the Elite. Weight is a no brainer.

I would like to have both coils, but I am leaning more towards the S-12. I would like the have the most depth possible, but it will mostly be for lake beach hunting. So hopefully things won't sink too deep. I hope that S-12 will get the deep ones and then some. Thanks everyone for your replies.
