Another project / research idea..................

I'm sure this is in no way my idea but thought I'd post it anyway.
I saw this in our towns paper the other day. it shows one of our streets in 1869 and today. Although I didn't get any ideas or new places to search I still cut it out and started a new notebook with old pictures from my town. ( this is my 1st installment )
Who knows this info might be handy in the future. If nothing else it teaches history.
I may just lead to other tips, ideas or other place to search. I may even do some old picture searching on the computer this winter and come up with a new place to search

Good idea Greg ! We have a book in so az named "Then & Now" which shows 2 pics of the same area about 100 years apart. They were shot in the same place and are really helpful. Maybe look in the library for something like this.
And speaking of libraries - don't you have some colleges or junior colleges in your area ? Their libraries are usually more extensive than the public libraries. And you can walk in and use any of them usually.
Also, many public libraries have special collections of their town's history in books. We have an Arizona Room at the public library here.
Check em out ! Steve in so az
