Another Prizm question!

O.K. this is the question...I know that I can use a 9.5 coil with it but do I have to stick to the Prizm 9.5 or will any Whites 9.5 work? Let me know what you know! Thanks again to everyone who replied to my last post. Woodstock

Only the Prizm 950 coil will work on the Prizms. But in my opinion the 8 inch coil is the very best for coins and jewelry. Save your money.....

Thanks! I'm glad you let me know. I remember you saying that in the last post cause I can turn up the sensitivity more with the 8". That's good to know cause that what basicly do and I don't think I'd use a Prizm for a relic machine. I can do that with another machine I use. Years ago when I started out with a Whites Coinmaster 5 I never really liked the 10" coil and stuck with the eight cause it responded better. It just had to get used to the size of the new detectors. Like my X-Terra 50 and the Ace 250, alot of punch for the size. My old SilverSabre is small but steel boxed but still has good punch power. My C-Scope CM2MX is a good coin and relic machine with a great 10.5" deepscan coil.
All that being said, I'll keep my cash and use the stock 8"! Thanks Again for the good advice khouse........HH, Jeff

I have a Prizm IV with the 8" and wish White's made a 4-6" coil to fit. I'd go along with saving your money and leave the 9.5 go.

Whats your opinion on a Prism III? And it seems that it only makes one kind of tone , is the only type of sound that comes from a III?
