and a 1939 nickel. Started gridding out local park. Did a 30x30 ft. area. Did have some hits at 6.0...they were dimes from the 70's.
 
Finding dimes from the 70's is a good sign.Once you got the area worked over with your 5.3, use your 950 on it.....you will get those deep silver coins.:thumbup:
 
Thanks maybe I will switch to the 950 and hit the exact area. Seems my new 5.3 is hitting almost as deep as my 950 now!
 
you know i did not find any difrence in depth beetween the 9.5 and my 5.3 honestly i dont know how that could bee but the 9.5 may get you thru the park a bit faster
 
That's the way to clean up! Use the grid method and you won't skip over much and your pouch will be heavy with coins. Then after you get the clad out, you might be able to get to the really deep coins. WTG!!!
