you did not say in your post where the photo was taken ??? The spot is overlooking the Ocean, could those blocks of been a fort at one time ??
What type of Finds did you find

Those are old house footings, found a 1951 silver dime, as well as a few pennies from the 40's to the 60's
Ground is still frozen

Thanks for the Reply, those house footings must be old, what date do you put them at,just a thought footings must be very old or the area would be i reckon a lot flatter before they would house build on the site,maybe your finds are people over the years coming to the site to take a look so the newer coins have been found , Would be a good site to go back to and dig everything even the faintest whisper of a target, clear the ground as you go target if good should become stronger. Bet not many people have looked at the site being so overgrown, you never know, good luck,

I would guess about the early 1900's. The houses were likely moved in the 60's. Not sure if anyone else has detected there, it is isolated. About 12 foundations were seen.
